What was the challenge you were facing at the time you decided to work with Glocalities?
And what motivated you to consider Glocalities as your business partner to help you with this challenge?
Our games are designed as fun, engaging journeys that help people feel amazing - bridging the gap between mindfulness, emotional wellbeing and gaming adventures.
So, we wanted to get a clear idea of our target player personas -Who they are, what truly drives our target players, their values and emotional decision-making factors and more.
We also wanted to inform our game design based on what we found out.
We partnered with Glocalities, because their international research goes way beyond the surface level to answer these questions. Especially the 12 areas of the Glocalities wheel with values cards and archetypes are very intriguing.
How did Glocalities help you practically? How do you use Glocalities insights moving forward in your project?
We are currently in the development stage. We have been using the data from Glocalities as a reference - making sure our game design, creative direction, visual art and aesthetics, soundscapes align with what the international research was showing us. Whenever we made important decisions, we checked if everything we were doing on the development side matched the data.
On the branding and marketing side too, the data has been very helpful in carving out the specifics of all the player personas, crafting the brand tonality and creating, organizing marketing content.

What is the conclusion/insight that stood out to you the most from the research and project?
We were able to see that there is no one single way to approach wellbeing and that individual personality has a lot to do with how we solve the problem. This is very reassuring to us as we aim to provide an immersive gaming experience catering to different personality traits and how they can be balanced. The Values, Lifestyle and Archetypes data was very useful in this.
How do you evaluate the Glocalities services? Did these meet your expectations?
Yes. The collaboration with Glocalities was very much aligned with what we were looking for. We had insightful discussions and brainstorming sessions in the beginning, which then led to finding the right data for us. Martijn guided us with his extensive knowledge on studying human behaviour data. He and his team were there to answer any questions we had and would follow up with us to provide more support.
