As a Data Analyst on a daily basis you will generate knowledge and data insights of consumer behaviour of people from around the world. You will work together with an international team of experts and consultants in a variety of projects, ranging from consumer research to research for charities. We conduct projects for clients such as Unilever, Unicef, Heineken, ING Greenpeace and Van Gogh Museum. You will be able to develop yourself as an expert in international data analytics in an open and collaborative culture and environment.

The Glocalities Data Analyst is responsible for:

  • Performing data analysis; e.g. analysing trends, country comparisons, creating and profiling bespoke audiences and segments
  • Assisting, training and advising colleagues with analyses and data visualizations based on the Glocalities database and methodology.
  • Management, merging and quality maintenance of the Glocalities SPSS databases (7 waves of international fieldwork since 2014, plus ad hoc project databases)
  • Managing, testing and publishing survey project data in the World of Glocalities Insights application
  • Working together with colleagues in further developing the World of Glocalities Insights application and analytics
  • Coordination, execution and planning of the annual international Glocalities fieldwork wave study and questionnaire
  • Creating and managing new surveys for clients in cooperation with our partners Motivaction DC and fieldwork supplier Dynata 
  • Is currently residing in the Netherlands within a reasonable travelling distance of Amsterdam 
  • Must be eligible to work in the Netherlands for at least 6 months 

Educational background and skills:

  • Graduated with a Master’s degree in: International business studies, social sciences (Sociology, Social Geography, Psychology), Marketing, or Communication Science
  • Excellent in research analytics and methodology
  • International background and international orientation
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Well experienced with Excel (advanced knowledge), SPSS, Powerpoint, R and Data visualisation tools
  • You have to be eligible to work in the Netherlands
  • Knowledge of segmentation, marketing and/or relevant marketing trends
  • Self-starter with a hands-on attitude and the ability to work autonomously 
  • Well organized atitude with high quality standards
  • Team worker and outgoing personality

Your working environment:

The Glocalities team consists of 12 people and is expanding. Our culture is international, diverse and dynamic. Our employees vary from fresh graduates to senior professionals in the business. Due to the nature of our company, we communicate primarily in English.

We offer the Data Analyst:

The vacancy is open for a junior-medior data-analyst, depending on the level of experience.

A contract of 12 months, start date preferably as soon as possible (40 hours per week).
